Tier I dCache depoyement meeting Sep 19, 2008

• Doris asked about the issues related to the error saying that the file record already exists for a particular file and new space reservation is not possible. Dmitry and I explained that we made improvements to the error handling code in space manager that might help resolve the issue in b15p12. We promised to continue investigation if p12 does not help. Lionel joined and asked about the same issue. We explained again. Promised again. Flavia joined. Gerard joined and asked about the same issue. We explained again.

• Flavia reported that in come cases if clients fail due to the timeout the partial SOAP message is printed in logs. We recommended to introduce the retries in the clients for request status querying code.
