Postcards
Up to two minutes (uninterrupted) per person where they can answer two questions:
- What I did last week (since the last meeting),
- What I plan to do in the next week.
No questions until we get through everyone :)
Christian: Still SSHD trying to get it running in a cell (and planning to do). Fixing eclipse ant target .. not yet done but working on; doing this with Karsten. Trying to recover a broken computer :)
Karsten: Just joined the team. Configuring environment and getting up-to-speed with dCache. Installing dCache on a virtual machine: 1.9.9.
Paul: docbook / webpage
Owen: EMI, redone dCache configure so each pool can have a different domain. Tested and I'm now submitting a patch to ReviewBoard?.
Thomas: Worked on CHEP poster for dCache. Netty HTTP mover .. practically done. Some const. need to be made into conf. parameters.
Plans for patch-releases
Should we make a new patch release?
Nothing urgent, although Dmitry asked for something to be fixed in 1.9.5
Trunk activity
Progress with new features...
Owen's dCache configure now in ReviewBoard. Quite a big chunk of code... not practical to split into smaller chunks.
Owen promises to review Debian patch: 2369. http://rb.dcache.org/r/2369/
Issues from yesterday's Tier-1 meeting
Paul to ask Dmitry to look at ticket from Xvyia.
RFC Proxies
GGUS ticket RT 5883.
Should be able to reproduce the problem by using the -rfc option to voms-proxy-init or grid-proxy-init. Thomas to try to reproduce the problem with our client.
Dependencies and EMI
Owen: please, do not include build dependencies in SL5 or Debian stable.
If we had build machine(s) like standard EMI-SL5 and EMI-Debian then we could catch when this happens.
Updating build requirements in EMI usually involves talking to Lorenzo (sp?) and usually do not require going through any boards.
General policy is that packages should build on standard target platforms (SL5 & Debian stable) but there's some leeway given for build dependences.
Outstanding RT Tickets
[This is an auto-generated item. Don't add items here directly]
RT 5859: xrootd not working when multiple streams are requested neither with user code
Thomas needs a 1.9.5 machine to test the problem.
Thomas will try to install 1.9.5 on his dev. test machine to try to recreate the problem.
Review of RB requests
DTNM
Same time, next week.
