  • IP V7
  • Pool to Pool with http.
  • HTTP with root fixed (must be backported to 1.9.12)
  • Pool run on top of hadoop. Mostly cleaning interface from rep to underlying system. Could be a DB later.
  • The 1.9.12 but with pnfs needs to be fixed.

Issues from developers-meeting-20110809

  • Some questions from Nicola (IN2P3)
    • dcap door loadbalancing. Comes automatically with IPv6.
    • dcap connections which don't disappear. He didn't know however if the connection was still active (EST) or if the client was gone already. (3 days and more). He will check and open a ticket.
  • Gerard(PIC)
    • upgraded to 1.9.12. Worked fine so far.
    • One bug found in connection with dCache/PNFS. (6548: [CRITICAL] dCache 1.9.12 + PNFS can not write using) Tigran and Gerd investigated and Tigran fixed it. Patch could be delivered within about 1 hour. Great.
    • Remaining discussion on high memory consumption for FTP doors. Gerd is investigating : 6552: dCache 1.9.12-8: potential memory leak in griftp door

Issues from EMI

  • General direction : moving out of gLite into EMI. Christian can provide migration advice (description). Should be announced (user-forum and beyond) if we are sure it works in most of the cases. We expect less than 10 cases.
  • Padova all hands meeting 17-19 Oct. Reiseantraege are submitted. (Tigran, Paul, Christian, Karsten and myself)
  • Lyon EGI TF : Paul and myself. Any suggestion for presentations at the Data Workshop on monday ? (Gerd ?)
  • Sep 12, 1.9.12-6 will be in EMI.

Schools and meetings

  • GridKa school : discussion on questions from C. Anton M. Only for Europe as GUMS is still missing. Dmitry has to look into the GUMS stuff. There are small differences in the semantics. The migration guide (1.9.12) described it. WebDAV key/password ok with gPlazma 2 but only starting with 1.9.14.
  • CHEP ' 13 : Abstract deadline is : Sep 30th. Chep is 21 - 25 May 2013 in Manhatten.
