Postcards

• Al: Two patches on the review board. a) separates gplazma 1 from 2. Ship it will be delayed as there are still questions. There is still the kpwd pluggin which should be moved to gplazma2. b) xaml patch. As soon as it is approved by Tigran, it will be committed.
• Dmitry: Was busy with enstore to be prepared for public dcache upgrade. OSG got aware of jglobus issues. Dmitry is suggesting a phone conference with OSG, Globus, Paul Alex and Dmitry. Alan Roy is organzing this. Patrick will send GDB slides to Dmitry.
• Antje: Finished the ssh 2 secton of the book. xpwd things didn't work as decribed, which took some time to be fixed.
• Jan: Mostly fixing small things in the web admin and teaching tanja to get used to it.
• Karsten: Setting up ipv6 maschines which should be able to communitate to have an area to play with.
• Tanja: Learning web admin from Jan. Some small patches and tickets.
• Tigran: Trying to bring the build system to run again for 1.9.12. We now have three maschines, 1.9.5, 1.9.12 and trunk. Now trunk and 1.9.12 are not longer compatible any more. So we need 3. Preparing new machine for new www.dcache.org. And helping with HERA instance running 2.1 plus webadmin.
• Christian: Building ETICS , building and updating track ticket.
• Patrick: Is preparing the dcache workshop in Berlin.

Plans for patch-releases

We need to do 1.9.12 (globus ftp fix, and fix for buffers on webdav if you do proxy I/O) and 2.0. (Ueberftp fix with ls). That will be the final one for 2.0.

Trunk activity

• Plots into the new web admin.
• Complain during the Tier i meeting on messages that the broadcaster sends 'remove' to space manager w/o having a space manager. Tigran wants to change all components to ask for messages.
• gPlazma 2 patch still waiting. If one component in gPlazma2 send an error message is getting thrown up the chain to the web admin (or other components) which may get the other components down. The fix is in review. (for most of the problems). So we need to keep an eye on it. Still not solved : if there two 'auth' pluggins which are 'sufficient' and one sends an exception which causes gPlazma to continue to the other pluggins. "Seems to be very well design".

Issues from Tier i meeting.

Only Gerard dialed in. There have been no issues.

Tigran Migration of www.dcache.org

Current dCache.org is already 7 years old. May dye soon. Now is sl6 and no longer solaris. We will move there all services. We will have names within dcache.org. They all share the same netapp storage service. Tigran will send around link and everybody is supposed to test. If ok, tigran will change DNS to dcache.org.

Side remark

Dmitry, Tigran and Tanja: Tanja is integrating the billing pictures into the new web interface. She might change the creation of the picture from static to dynamic with javasript in the browser.

Issues from EMI

Christian asks for a status report on the SRM movement towards EPEL

Dmitry will look into the docs on how to make packages EPEL compliant which Christian sent. Dmitry promised to look into it. Christian would like to have it done until the 29th of Feb. (EMI RC3)

Outstanding RT Tickets

• Dmitry needs to register to GGUS. Tanjs sent link.
• The interconnect between GGUS and RT is currently not working properly. Sven is investigating.
• Another problem is that scripts are broken in GGUS. So Tanja has to put them into GGUS. Tanja is bother Sven with it.
• And RT doesn't properly ident scripts when displaying them.
