Site reports

Simon reported that dCache is working well for them in production, with 2.6.21 in production. Triumf are planning to upgrade to 2.6.25 soon, but don't have a concrete date yet.

Triumf are looking to enable xrootd support for FAX. The process is mostly clear, with some of the needed functionality (like support for querying a file's checksum) becoming available in 2.9-series of dCache.

They have also had a WebDAV door in production for more than 1 year. However, WebDAV is allowed from selected client machines. They plan to roll out full production availability eventually.

Simon reported that they were having problems with file hopping. The underlying issue is that they wanted files staged from tape to be read from a non-HSM-attached pool. Therefore, when a file is staged from tape, it should be copied to some other pool for clients to access. Currently this doesn't work with file-hopping, so Triumf is using a permanent migration-module job. They have noticed that restarting the pool results in the job being lost.

Natalia connected and described some issues with their transition from a single dCache instance to a disk-only and tape-backed dCache instances.
