[part of a series of meetings]
Participants
Al, Marina, Vincent, Dmitry, Tigran, Paul, Jürgen
Postcards
Al: Presented work on Admin frontend, was received well. We need to try to get the RESTful part into 3.2, the rest can follow later. Added alarms this week. That only leaves the pool information service to be integrated into the interface. Some small patches.
Marina: back from holidays, releasing
Vincent: ticket 9195
Dmitry: preparations for 2.16 upgrade, small patches. Upgrade time is still critical.
Tigran: Travel and planning
Paul: Tidying up small loose ends
Jürgen: Jenkins infrastructure, new building and reporting jobs for Indigo. Bugfixing, documentation, release work. Getting back to the robot framework (from last year's summer student programme) and integration with Tigran and Christian's work on OpenStack?.
Special topics
Al: server- vs client-side handling of snapshots for 'paging' or 'scrolling'
We discuss ways of keeping data for file listings in a scalable way. We follow Dmitry's suggestion of using the NFS model.
Jürgen: IntelliJ IDEA licensing
Jetbrains, the company behind IntelliJ IDEA, stopped their free-licenses-for-FLOSS programme. Jürgen reports on the status and asks for opinions. We decide to try to see if the free "Community" edition serves our needs.
