Postcards
About one minute (uninterrupted) per person where they can answer two questions:
- What I did last week (since the last meeting),
- What I plan to do in the next week.
No questions until we get through everyone :)
Femi
Almost done with the multiselection.
Reviewing Al's patches.
Dmitry
"dCache blues" diagnosing problems. NFS couldn't mount after restart (due to Kernel upgrade). Reverted to built-in ZK, Sometime see "30 hop exceeded" message + "infinite" long message logged.
The 'df' query in the namespace takes about 20 minutes at Fermi.
Contacted people at Wüppertal, but not managed to deliver anything yet.
Looking at graphing optimisation instead of Google (maybe graphana)
Discussed replica staging back from tape.
Marina
Work on patch for Kafka, updated on RB.
Sibel
Continued working on workshop prep. Started looking into XDC project. Attended URT meeting.
Al
Looked at swagger, fixed some of Paul's English.
Looked at fixing a possible spamming by resilience, both log and alarms.
Thought about how to do staging.
Possible modification to billing -- what resilience considers writeable. Want to change this so it doesn't accept more data, but p2p transfers are OK.
dCache View (admin) is progressing.
Tigran
Last week at the XDC kick-off meeting.
Trying to fix dCache here at DESY. Fix cloud issues, replica manager, trying to prepare for workshop -- but no dCache coding.
Trying to get a bug-fix in upstream Kernel back-ported into RHEL 7.
We have a gateway machine with Samba, bound to Active Directory -- mostly listing directory. Reads are ~one file per week.
Paul
Special topics
Please list special topics you would like to bring up here *before* the meeting, and, if possible, add a time estimate. We should try to limit this segment to 45 minutes, and that only in exceptional cases.
XDC Kick-off meeting
What software is missing that satisfies community use-cases.
Can we handle cases where another site has data that isn't in dCache.
Resilience staging
Investigate doing this with poolmanager.
Non-replicated resilience
Turn on statistics and ask resilience to scan the pool.
Release news
Keeping with the weekly release cycle.
No patches this week.
Trunk activity
Progress with new features...
Issues from [FIXME: Add link to yesterday's Tier-1 meeting]
Outstanding RT Tickets
Discussed ZK problems -- problem could be triggered by internal ZK traffic between ZK nodes becoming slow.
