Site reports

Marc reported that things have been running smoothly for the past week.

He has written some more on the upgrade guide (from 2.13 to 2.16), taking the information from the various release notes. He hopes to have the first version ready by Friday, when he is going on holiday. He'll be back on the 29 August.

In September PIC are planning a minor upgrade; in November (December at the latest) PIC plan to upgrade to 2.16.

Xavier reported that things are running fine; there's been no issues over the last week.

Support tickets have been opened for the two problems with xrootd; first problem hasn't come back, the second has been fixed, but requires an upgrade. This is not planned as it isn't a critical problems, so Xavier cannot justify the downtime.

Xavier thanked dCache team for fixing the Nearline SPI package dependencies. The AbstractBlockingNearline? is missing, but will be added in the near future.

Anyone from dCache going to GridKa? school? Nope.

Ulf reported that they have had some hardware problems, but dCache is running fine.

The problem was with a 10G switch, which is being replaced. They are seeing corresponding error messages, but expecting those to disappear once the network becomes reliable.

NDGF are planning a downtime next week, to upgrade head nodes and Java.
