+5 minutes for the DNS timeout in Java, updated DNS record to point to the new ZK server, waited more than five minutes, then restarted the ZK server.  dCache reconnected to the old ZK server, not the new ZK server.

+It seems that ZK client resolves the FQDN to an IP address on start-up, but never again after that.
